Peggy Dippen
Peggy Dippen has been practicing Ashtanga Yoga since 2003. She completed her 200 and 300 hour yoga teacher training through YogaVermont, which is nationally recognized through Yoga Alliance. Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a style of yoga popularized in the 20th century by K. Pattabhi Jois. Ashtanga means eight limbs or branches, of which asana or physical postures, are just one branch. Her primary teachers have been Christine Hoar, Kathy McNames, & Scott York, all who trained with K. Pattabhi Jois. She has attended workshops with Nancy Gilgoff & David Williams. "Yogas chitta vritti nirodha" is a line from Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. It refers to stilling the mind. When our thoughts are calm & our mind is tranquil, we can move toward self-realization.

Peggy's vinyasa yoga classes link breath with movement and are tailored to best meet the needs of each participant. Peggy was born in Ohio, raised in Connecticut, earned her BS & M.Ed from Springfield College in Massachusetts, and lived in Vermont for 20 years before spending some time in Wisconsin and Colorado. She currently resides in Hinesburg and is the Social Emotional & Equity Coordinator for MAUSD.
