6:30 PM - 8:00 PM    Pickup Soccer - Adult and Youth - Adult Pick-up Soccer
Hinesburg resident Mike Webb shares his love for the game while organizing ongoing pick-up soccer for adults on Monday evenings because the kids can't have all the fun!  This pick-up style program allows participants the flexibility to attend as their schedules allow through the summer. Each week will consist of playing scrimmage style soccer games focused on having fun. Registration is required prior to participation.  Participants can join anytime. Space may be limited.  This is not a drop-off program.

3:00 PM - 5:00 PM    Horseback Riding After-School at Livery Stables - Tuesday Horseback Riding ~ Fall Session 1
Enjoy horseback riding lessons and so much more with Kim Johansen at Livery Stables.  Lessons are geared toward beginner to intermediate riders.  Kim and staff instruct riders on basic horse care like tacking, feeding, grooming, watering and every aspect of what happens at a barn.  Children will love their time with this special little horse-family! 
 
3:30 PM - 5:00 PM    Junior Golf Programs with Mike Slayton - After School Golf - Tues. & Thurs. Session 1
Cedar Knoll Golf Course Pro Mike Slayton has a non-technical teaching philosophy but stresses the fundamentals of grip, stance, posture, balance and tempo.  Although understanding that variations in swing techniques can all work, golf ball flight comes down to 5 basic laws. These laws include club head path, angle of attack, centeredness of contact, club face angle and speed. "The golf swing is a series of movements that must be executed in the proper sequence for optimal results."Unless otherwise noted, HCS students may ride the bus to CKCC for the after-school golf programs.

The Youth Soccer program is designed for children between Kindergarten and 5th grade. Kindergarten players will focus on age-appropriate skills and activities, playing once a week, along with the help and encouragement from high school soccer players.  For 1-2 graders, plan on one weeknight and in-house games on Saturdays. For 3-4 graders, plan on one weeknight practice and a home or away game each Saturday.  A game schedule will be sent out and posted online here once season begins.  Program runs Tues. 9/6 - 10/15 for 1st - 5th graders and Sun. 9/11-10/9 for Kindergarten. Registration runs through 9/2.  Early incentive discount of $10 if registered by 8/28. Discount applied at check-out. Please sign up to coach or assist during registration or contact HRD directly.
